| For the first time, Talent Quest Florida will take place all under one roof! The Double Tree Westshore has signed on to be our home in 2010 the weekend of July 8-11. The upscale hotel has offered us use of its two ballrooms for the contest, a sports bar for daily and nightly karaoke and a block of rooms contestants can enjoy for only $89 a night! The hotel offers a large pool, hot tub, on-site dining, a large fitness center and complimentary parking. Public Wifi is available in public spaces and a food court and cash bar will be available near all the action so you don't miss a thing! |

TAMPA In what can only be described
as the most talent-filled Talent Quest
Florida final ever, six contestants
learned they were chosen to represent
the state of Florida in this year's
national finals in September.
"Our Top 10 finalists were all just
amazing," said Phil Garris, contest
co-owner. "I know I say this every year,
but this year really was the best talent
we've seen in Talent Quest Florida. It
was like a day-long concert!"
And what a day it was. With the
contest starting just after noon, emcee
and contest co-owner Steve Blanchard
plucked the finalists names out of a
bucket on the stage, adding to the
excitement and suspense of the day.
"We do the finals that way for a couple
of reasons," Blanchard said. "We

"It was so neat seeing such a diverse group of people gathered for their love of music," Garris
said. "And this year we really have a great sampling of the talent cultivated here in Florida. We
have an excellent shot at taking some titles at nationals."
Contestant scores will be posted by the afternoon of Wednesday, July 14.
